Ghostbusters Videmption Arcade Game

gbvidemptiongametop

I’ve been aware that a Ghostbusters Videmption arcade game will be coming out. At that time, it was kinda more of a tease because a photo was taken and went into that one cable which connects to the internet. I have no problem (why would I?) talking about a Ghostbusters Videmption arcade game. I’m not really knowledgeable about such games and I would have preferred to have waited until it was official.

Fortunately Arcade Heroes is and have provided the info along with knowledgable speculation.Read More »

Episode Review: Big Trouble With Little Slimer

rgbwalterpeck2

I had been wanting to review a new episode of The Real Ghostbusters. After seeing Sony’s Crackle site (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, October 21, 2015) had episodes from season 1 to stream, it provided a bit of motivation.

Most likely because of a call back to Ghostbusters that episode with Walter Peck came to mind.

Season 3, Episode 11, Big Trouble With Little Slimer is the only episode of The Real Ghostbusters to follow up with Walter Peck’s story. Bent on revenge for the (real) Ghostbusters ending his career with the E.P.A years earlier, Walter Peck has a plan to put The Real Ghostbusters out of business for good. By having government scientists study Slimer. 😀

Big Trouble With Little Slimer review.

gboardgamelogo

Cryptozoic Entertainment sent over an electronic email telling ghostheads web masters (I’m honored to be included!) that Cryptozoic Entertainment announced (in fact just today) that Ghostbusters: The Board Game arrives at retailers on November 11, 2015.

After the break, the official press release with Ghostbusters The Board Game photos!Read More »

LEGO Teases, Sorta Announces Ghostbusters Firehouse HQ

legoshopgbfirehousehq

Figures, selfishly on a day where I was tired and had a sinus headache LEGO posted on their Facebook page what I’m calling a tease about their upcoming Ghostbusters Firehouse HQ. (Set 75827) Previously I posted what I considered speculation, (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, October 19, 2015) was mostly likely an error on the part of Toys R’ Us Canada.

Get ready to bust some ghosts at the Firehouse Headquarters!

Here’s your first look at set 75827 LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters available starting January 2016!

Ghostheads: A Ghostbusters Documentary

I heard about Ghostheads in the last year. At the time I dismissed it. Hear me out. It was and is a great idea for a documentary. With the film exploring ghostheads, franchises, and Ghostbusters culture impact from around the world unless their was expendable income, to quote Ghostbusters, “Where we gonna get the money?”

Writer and Director Brendan Mertens (also a ghosthead himself) had a plan. Use a fund raising site where ghostheads could “actually make this happen.” Ok, so I paraphrased slightly.Read More »

Rich Review: Ghostbusters Vinyl Sugar Idolz

gbvinylidolzbox

Around this years San Diego Comic Con when Funko/Vinyl Sugar‘s Ghostbusters Vinyl Idolz were out there in the wild I was checking the usual on-line retail sites so I could buy them. Still to my knowledge no ghosthead who isn’t an employee of Funko knows why their isn’t a Vinyl Idolz Winston. I sorta preferred the SDCC exclusive versions. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, July 11, 2015) A reasonable price alluded me within the US. Last year I bought something similar with Funko’s SDCC Marshmallow Covered Movie Pops!. (iRich Blog Post, December 28, 2014)

With some of the exclusivity out of reach I ended up buying Vinyl Idolz Peter Venkman first from Barnes & Noble‘s website. Vinyl Idolz Ray Stantz and Vinyl Idolz Egon Spengler came from an eBay seller in NJ. I was able to save some more that way.Read More »

Ghostbusters: The Ultimate Visual History Received

I had been keeping this under (shrink) wraps in part until I knew I could talk more about Ghostbusters: The Ultimate Visual History. (Ghostbusters Inc. Blog Post, January 5, 2015)

During the summer I was contacted by PR By The Book, a public relations firm who represents Insight Editions. The discussion via email was about having a review copy and promoting the book. Which I’ve been doing at least since January. Unless I misunderstood I thought an abbreviated copy would be arriving. One day in August I’m heading out and there was a package.

had to leave, I was excited to get back to open the box. Inside was a copy of Ghostbusters: The Ultimate Visual History by Daniel Wallace. I did what most fans would do, look through the entire book. Then I did what most of us feel we wouldn’t need to do, take 40 photos.Read More »

Crackle Streaming The Real Ghostbusters

rgbswatchinggbs2

Sony Pictures streaming service Crackle quietly put up season 1 of The Real Ghostbusters to stream. Episodes can be streamed for free even without having an account. Their is a short ad before we go back to 1986. Episodes listed after the break are linked to my small amount of reviews. If you’d like to skip that until I write a new review :p here’s The Real Ghostbusters Crackle page.Read More »

Zoobe Adds Mr. Stay-Puft

zoobestaypuftarrives

Zoobe who introduced many a ghostheads to their character based voice messaging app with Slimer (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, August 19, 2015) has added everyone’s really favorite Ghostbusters ghost (Sorry Robin. :p) to Zoobe today.

The scene is practically straight out of Ghostbusters when Mr. Stay-Puft strolls down the avenue. Except he’s almost immediately hit with multiple confinement streams. Somehow he still makes time to provide a message of your choosing! 😀

Zoobe is available for both iOs and Android.

In one of my multiple attempts at using a free marshmallow man character to my advantage I made him a spokes marshmallow once again!

Should or when the Zoobe link expires I’ve also shared (should it remain) this video to Ecto-Containment’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Lego Ghostbusters Firehouse Speculation

mpjdekkerlegoideasfirehouse

Take this with the grains of color plastic, LEGO news site, The Brick Fan posted details about the upcoming Lego Ghostbusters Firehouse. Something I’ve talked about (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, February 4, 2015) on Ecto-Containment and Ghostbusters Inc. (GB Inc. Search Results)

The source for the set number and details would be credible, (Toys’ R Us Canada) however their isn’t a direct link to any press release or product page from TRU Canada. Also this firehouse would be based on Brent Waller’s design.

If true (I look forward to an official announcement from LEGO) here’s what we could be getting as early as January 2016.Read More »

NYCC 2015: Diamond Select Ghostbusters Toys Progress

nycc15dstgbsegon

Diamond Select Toys who have been showing their Ghostbusters Select figures this year (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, July 11, 2015) were at New York Toy Fair to once again display their Ghostbusters Selects. Which also gave ghostheads a look at the company’s progress.

This was the first time (that I’m aware of) we’ve seen a DST Ghostbusters Select Egon. We also get to see a more detailed exhausted Ghostbusters Select Ray Stantz. Which should be a variant. Is it just me, or does it seem like DST Ghostbusters Select Egon and DST Ghostbusters Select Janine are holding hands?Read More »
