New Ghostbusters Pop Tees

funkogbt2

Funko recently announced wave 2 of their Pop! Tees. Among the likes of some jokerish space civil war t-shirts is the above Ghostbusters Pop! t-shirt. We know Pop! Movies Winston Zeddemore (iRich Blog Post, December 28, 2014) is smaller in scale, that isn’t a reason to exclude him.

You may remember Funko originally released (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, July 11, 2015) a Ghostbusters Pop! Tee as a SDCC 2015 exclusive. Which was later sold at retailers and on-line.

Each of Funko’s Pop! Tees come with a Pop! Mini Standee collector card. They’ll be available during Summer 2016.

Ghostbusters Daruma Club Stay Puft Figure

marshmallowmandaruma

When there’s something immediately happening in Japan with Ghostbusters, all I need to do is see a tweet/or re-tweet from Ghostbusters Japan. (Twitter) This is where I recently learned a new Ghostbusters collectible is coming out and it seems so Japanese. I say that with the highest of compliments.

As on-line software translation isn’t perfect I didn’t quite get the idea of these Daruma toys. I chalked it up as another type of vinyl figure without knowing anything about Daruma.

If like me you’re not very familiar with Daruma, let’s consult Google.

The Daruma doll (達磨 daruma ?), also known as a Dharma doll, is a hollow, round, Japanese traditional doll modeled after Bodhidharma, the founder of the Zen sect of Buddhism.

When I originally saw not only a Mr. Stay-Puft Daruma doll I didn’t think of that. Considering my western up bringing and Christian faith it makes sense Buddhism didn’t occur to me. However sumo wrestling did. Something else I don’t really understand, also respect.Read More »

PPW Toys Mr. Potato Ghostbusters

staypuftpotato

Back at February’s New York Toy Fair Ghostbusters licensee PPW Toys had their upcoming Ghostbusters Mr. Potato Heads and nesting dolls on display. (GBI Blog Post, February 14, 2016) Not that surprising I wasn’t familiar enough with PPW Toys. Checking out their site gave me a better idea of their partnerships and pricing.

Today PPW Toys has given us a better look at their Ghostbusters products. Let’s take a closer look!

Stay-Puft Marshmallows Around A Summer Campfire

newstaypuftmarshs
The second US version of Ghostbusters Stay-Puft marshmallows.

You may remember in October I wrote a few posts about Ghostbusters confectionaries. (Ecto-Containment Tag) That is if you live in either the UK or a country where they can be shipped to. Since I imagine the cost of shipping candy which will either melt or expire could be very costly for an international company, in North America we either wrote about them or dealt with our emotions. Or both. 😀

One of those confectionaries, Stay-Puft Marshmallows. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, October 13, 2015)Read More »

More Current Japanese Ghostbusters Merchandise

currentjapanesegbearphonejackhappystaypuft

Months ago I came across a couple of auctions on a popular auction site for  more current Japanese Ghostbusters merchandise. Since I don’t know when these were made and sold (perhaps they still are) and they’re newer then the Japanese Ghostbusters merchandise I’ve written about (GB Inc. Blog Post, January 15, 2015) and found them interesting I thought I’d share them.Read More »

Zoobe Decorates Ghostbusters HQ For Christmas

zoobeslimerchristmas

Zoobe shared with ghostheads and anyone who’ll be in a festive mood over the next month that they’ve updated their Ghostbusters Firehouse HQ background.

Apparently the guys, Janine, or the rookies found time to mop up ectoplasm and decorate the office for Christmas. You know most of those gifts are for Dr. Venkman. 😀

Check out this slimy Christmas message from Robin Shelby, the actress who played Slimer in the Ghostbusters 2 movie! Have fun sending your own festive messages using the new Slimer Christmas character available now in the Zoobe app!

Zoobe is available for both iOS and Android devices.

Zoobe Adds Mr. Stay-Puft

zoobestaypuftarrives

Zoobe who introduced many a ghostheads to their character based voice messaging app with Slimer (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, August 19, 2015) has added everyone’s really favorite Ghostbusters ghost (Sorry Robin. :p) to Zoobe today.

The scene is practically straight out of Ghostbusters when Mr. Stay-Puft strolls down the avenue. Except he’s almost immediately hit with multiple confinement streams. Somehow he still makes time to provide a message of your choosing! 😀

Zoobe is available for both iOs and Android.

In one of my multiple attempts at using a free marshmallow man character to my advantage I made him a spokes marshmallow once again!

Should or when the Zoobe link expires I’ve also shared (should it remain) this video to Ecto-Containment’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Ghostbusters Jelly Pops (Yet Again, If You’re In The UK)

gbsjellypopsuk

To add sugar to the American blood stream Kingsways (presumably) is producing Ghostbusters Jelly Pops. What the heck is a jelly pop? :p The language isn’t a barrier. These lolly pops (man, that doesn’t sound very American) come in three choices, a “no ghost” logo, (ooh) Slimer, and something that could hurt you if you don’t have self control, Mr. Stay-Puft.

I love how they have an almost home made feel to them. They’re big enough you want (and probably do) play with them before finally and maybe a bit sadly eating them into oblivion.

Each Jelly Pop costs around 95p.
