Stay-Puft Marshmallow Foods (Again, If You’re In The UK)

ministaypuftmarshuk

During the Summer some ghostheads were posting that they could buy Stay-Puft marshmallows (I believe they come in a regular size also) at stores. The design (not currently pictured on Ecto-Containment) had Mr. Stay-Puft (probably like above) in front of a American flag. As it should be. :p

The problem is, (at least for those of us on the “other side of the pond”) these American marshmallows are in the United Kingdom. Previously two different food and beverage companies in the US produced (Ecto-Containment Blog, May 7, 2012) Stay-Puft marshmallows. First in cube shaped caffeinated form and then regular mini marshmallows.

If’s too late in the day to snack on fluffy white and pink marshmallows, this next spread may be more to your liking.Read More »

Ghostbusters Funko Pop! Movies Roasted Stay-Puft

popstaypuftroastedmain

One of the last Ghostbusters updates that could have been part of my personal blog site, iRich should have been Funko Pop! Movies Stay-Puft variant. I was probably reorganizing the multiple sites or it was around a major holiday. Then their was that Japanese Ghostbusters month (GB Inc. Search Results) back in January.

Before I move on to new Ghostbusters collectibles write ups I finally wanted to finish with Ghostbusters Funko Pop! Movies vinyl figures. If you’d like to read any of my previous reviews/blog posts, they’re listed in iRich (under I Feel So Funko) and more directly in Funko.Read More »

Zoobe Messaging Adds Ghostbusters Content

slimerzoobebanner

Earlier today I saw one of my ghosthead friends post a short animation of Slimer. Slimer “spoke,” with original dialogue about our Ghostbusters franchise site. I didn’t know originally it was part of an animated message app called Zoobe. Honestly I hadn’t previously heard of this particular app.

Because of the Ghostbusters content, quite a few ghostheads were trying it out and sharing video. By this evening after eating a little like Slimer would, if he was real I wanted to try the Zoobe app and see what was going on. I shared a few of my Slimer videos on Facebook and Twitter.Read More »

It’s The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Kids Costume

I usually don’t post about Ghostbusters costumes. With this new costume, it gave me an opportunity to say something I’ve thought, haven’t expressed. If a baby or young child is wearing a Ghostbusters costume, its safe to assume their parent or guardian is a massive Ghostbusters fan. As a ghosthead since 6 years old, I’d understand. When I see the occasional photo of a baby or chid in a (usually) Stay-Puft costume I feel a little bad. The Stay-Puft character is as its name gives off, fluffy, maybe even bulky. I hope these kids not only like being in such a costume, they can move in them.

Lego Dimensions And Lego Dimensions Ghostbusters Packs

legodimensionslogo

Whether you’re a ghosthead or not, you’re probably aware by now that a LEGO video game is coming out with licensed characters from Warner Brothers, Universal, Sony Pictures, and additional studios. Lego Dimensions was announced back in April 2015. Two days before my birthday for the excuse.

While I wasn’t disinterested in a multi-character arc Lego game, it wasn’t exactly peaking my interest. Also, ghostheads didn’t know whether Ghostbusters would be apart of it. Ghostbusters Legos were like the little brother of Lego video game DC super heroes and Lego video game lords. Coincidentally Lego video game Marty and Doc could be considered the middle child. Their’s also another doctor in the game. Whomever that may be. 😀

With an announcement months later Ghostbusters will be just as much a part of Lego Dimensions as the rest of someone’s favorite characters “everything is awesome.”Read More »

SDCC Exclusive: Funko Pop! Tees Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man

popteesstaypuft

At the end of June Funko, who had previously produced and sells a Pop! Movies ‘roasted’ Stay-Puft vinyl (iRich Blog Post) figure (which I have and believe I still need to write about) chose its angry, roasted vinyl figure for a SDCC 2015 exclusive t-shirt.

The packaging is modeled after Funko’s Pop! Movies Ghostbusters packaging. I’m not sure (outside of secondary and third markets) if these will be available for retail. If you attended SDCC, you may have been able to pick one up.

LEGO Ideas Isn’t Moving Forward With Sergio’s Ghostbusters Firehouse

customlegofirehousesergio

LEGO has announced the product or products they’ll be moving forward with from LEGO Ideas. Unfortunately, not that surprising they didn’t choose Sergio Herencias’ Ghostbusters Firehouse. (GB Inc. Blog Post) If we’re not getting Ghostbusters HQ yet, what will LEGO Idea will they make?

LEGO Ideas #011 WALL-E

Big congratulations to Angus MacLane who created this blocky version of everyone’s favorite hopelessly romantic robot. MacLane is a Pixar animator and director, who actually worked on the WALL-E film. He created the model during the WALL-E production, and submitted it to LEGO Ideas in hopes of it becoming a set. Your hopes and dreams for WALL-E have come true, as the creation will become the next LEGO Ideas product.

Getting an official Lego Ghostbusters Firehouse isn’t over until Lego Wall-E cleans up a world full of colored bricks.Read More »

Brent Waller’s LEGO Ghostbusters Stay-Puft

staypuftlegoman

Last April we introduced Ecto-Containment readers to Brent Waller’s LEGO Ideas Ghostbusters Stay-Puft. Since then Lego Cuusoo became LEGO Ideas, Brent’s Ghostbusters ECTO-1 set became a reality, Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary has come to pass, and Ghostbusters is really getting a new movie, uh we think.

While that may bring on new merchandising and marketing opportunities, it doesn’t mean more LEGO Ghostbusters sets are a sure thing.Read More »

The Real Ghostbusters Stay-Puft Party

rgbstaypuftplateinvite

Last month around this time (almost to the day) after posting about Party Time RGBs plates I came across another The Real Ghostbusters party plate. This plate (with party invitation!) was produced by C.A. Reed. It features The Real Ghostbusters in an action pose, seems like artwork that was used on other products. What are they so afraid of?Read More »

New LEGO Ideas Ghostbusters Firehouse

mightymausgbfirehouse

Back in March with the then upcoming 30th Anniversary LEGO Ecto-1 on its way to retailers in June, Sergio, a ghosthead and custom LEGO builder created a LEGO Ideas Ghostbusters Firehouse HQ. (Ecto-Containment blog post) As the project is on LEGO Ideas the goal was for 10,000 ghostheads and/or LEGO fans to support the project. If it reaches 10,000 supporters, LEGO will review the project. Sergio’s Ghostbusters Firehouse HQ (LEGO Ideas) has met this requirement.

The downside of Sergio’s Ghostbusters firehouse is it seems ‘complex.’ With approximately 3,000 pieces LEGO might have to scale it back in someway. Which is why in part I’m more optimistic LEGO will give more consideration to LEGO ECTO-1 designer Brent Waller’s LEGO Stay-Puft. (LEGO Ideas)

Their may be a complexity solution. Sounds right. Ghosthead and custom LEGO builder ‘Mighty Maus’ already created a Ghostbusters Firehouse that uses less bricks and therefore would be less expensive. That’s economics!Read More »

30th Anniversary: Ghostbusters Funko Pop! Movies Stay-Puft

staypuftpop

Note: Originally appeared at my personal site, iRich.

The Funko Pop! Movies Stay-Puft has arrived!! No 30th Anniversary Ghostbusters celebration would be complete without the marshmallow man. Is he a man though? After all he’s made of marshmallows. At some point the philosophical questions had to be thought about.
