If you live in a country that celebrates Thanksgiving (because your ancestors mostly needed to leave a continent for their religious beliefs) you may initially have missed an important trademark registry breaking the internet.
Resurrect Ecto Cooler (Facebook) shared that Coca~Cola (who owns Hi-C and also once owned Ghostbusters because they had owned Columbia Pictures) have renewed the Ecto Cooler trademark through the United States Patent and Trademark Office. It was actually done back in September.
Do you know how much a patent clerk earns?
Naturally this doesn’t mean Coca~Cola/Hi-C will definitely bring back Ecto Cooler. It’s a reasonable assumption as they’ve brought back ‘fan favorite’ sodas in recent years. Their will be a new Ghostbusters movie, an animated movie during the 20 teens, (did I ever talk about that?) and plenty of new merchandise.
If you were the right age during the ’80s you probably loved Ecto Cooler and have fond memories of what that one Ghostbusters flavored beverage meant to you.
The original citrus liquid in its original packaging can go for $100s USD on that popular auction site. To have a pack (or case) of 10 for much much less will be perfect.
