Ghostheads had already known Chronicle Collectibles are making high end (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, July 29, 2019) The Real Ghostbusters collectibles. During last week’s San Diego Comic Con, Chronicle Collectibles revealed their upcoming to scale Ecto-1. Toys news site, ToyArk took photos as part of their SDCC coverage. Overall this is The Real Ghostbusters series Ecto-1 I remember. As the figures aren’t posable, it stands to reason “the car” won’t have doors that open. Either way this… Read More

Diamond Select Toys produced a couple of series (Diamond Select Toys Blog Post) featuring The Real Ghostbusters figures. Although posable, they don’t quite capture, (from what I’ve seen of them) “the Kenner feel.” A reason I don’t own any of them. On a higher end collector market, Chronicle Collectibles is producing all 4 The Real Ghostbusters figures along with Slimer. The bad: They’re more like statues, total cost, near $600 USD*, and Slimer is… Read More

During February’s New York Toy Fair Diamond Select Toys gave ghostheads their first look (GBI Blog Post, February 16, 2016) at Ghostbusters Glass Tumblers. Where I wrote: (Am I suppose to quote myself?) Depending on your age you may remember licensed character glassware. Which may have been part of a food promotion, (for a price) maybe from a gas staton, mail away, or easy as buying in store. Their was a time depending on geographic location… Read More

Yesterday, the first photo (that I saw) of actual Diamond Select Toys Ghostbusters figures was shared by David aka tmnt_hunter209 through his iconosquare account. These three figures (part of Series 1) are beginning to arrive at Toys ‘R Us (US). They retail for $12.99 USD each. These are the basic figures without the rooftop diorama pieces. Ghostbusters Selects will arrive at additional retailers, including the on-line variety in January 2016.

If you’ve ever read or collected a toy line you know its a foregone conclusion that the company behind that line is going to make a variant of said figures. Matty what’s their name were practically known for doing this with Ghostbusters. In a different way, Funko and their brands have done something similar (though to their credit better) with both their Pops! and Vinyl Idolz. I wasn’t surprised when I unexpectedly… Read More

Because ghostheads needed more Ghostbusters vinyl figures 😀 Funko and Vinyl Sugar created these small, internationally inspired? Ghostbusters Dorbz! Unlike the choice to make only Peter, Ray, and Egon Vinyl Idolz finally Winston gets his second vinyl figure. Let’s take a more individual detailed look.

One of the last Ghostbusters updates that could have been part of my personal blog site, iRich should have been Funko Pop! Movies Stay-Puft variant. I was probably reorganizing the multiple sites or it was around a major holiday. Then their was that Japanese Ghostbusters month (GB Inc. Search Results) back in January. Before I move on to new Ghostbusters collectibles write ups I finally wanted to finish with Ghostbusters Funko Pop! Movies… Read More

Diamond Select Toys who will be releasing its first series of Ghostbusters Selects (GB Inc Blog Post) later this year is at San Diego Con. On display naturally are the Winston and Ray Ghostbusters Selects. Along with Louis as Keymaster ‘Ghostbuster’ Select. Originally the third figure was up in the air as figures releases can depend on licensee approval. DST’s own Zach Oats thought the third figure could be Dana as Gatekeeper. New Ghostbusters… Read More

I’ve been talking about Diamond Select Toys upcoming 7″ Ghostbusters figures since (GB Inc) New York Toy Fair. With additional information added to Ghostbusters Firehouse. DST officially made the announcement on April 21 about Series 1 and beyond. We most likely knew Ray and Winston would be part of the first figures, the third figure (and the remaining line up) depended on approval. The third figure, “check on the little guy,” Louis Tully… Read More
