Inside Editions sent over additional official images with press release for the soon to arrive Tobin’s Spirit Guide. Thank you for including Ecto-Containment. This June, Insight Editions is releasing Tobin’s Spirit Guide, an immersive in-world guide based on the fictional book mentioned in the 1984 Ghostbusters film. For the first time, the public can finally pore through the pages of this legendary guide to learn all about the things that go bump in the night—from Class… Read More

On September 8, 2015 I wrote that Amazon added new information, (which I included and will again) about what Insight Editions Tobin’s Spirit Guide (Ghostbusters Inc. Tobin’s Spirit Guide) will be about. With November coming to an end and turkeys breathing a sigh of relief Insight Editions and Amazon have gave ghostheads a first look as the Tobin’s Spirit Guide (abridged) cover.

IDW Publishing Ghostbusters comic news out of the recent New York Comic Con. It was announced (um probably at NYCC) that IDW will publish international adventures of the comic Ghostbusters. The title will appropriately be named Ghostbusters International. As a guy who once owned and paid way too much for the domain name I wish this part of the comic series had been around over the last decade. The basic premise of… Read More

Back in July I wrote that an abridged version (Ecto-Containment Blog Post) of Tobin’s Spirit Guide was coming from Insight Editions, the publisher of the upcoming Ghostbusters: The Ultimate Visual History. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post) New information has been posted from on-line retailer Amazon.

Comic Vine has posted their exclusive preview for IDW Publishing‘s Ghostbusters Get Real Issue #3. If you don’t mind spoilers, pages from Issue 3 are further down. Ecto-Containement won’t post spoiler pages, I did want to provide brief information and cover art.

Remember when I wrote three days ago about the timeline of events with IDW’s upcoming Ghostbusters annual? “That’s ok, I don’t either.” Today straight from Spook Central’s Facebook page (at least where I read it) comes the necessary information along with our first look at the cover.

When I think Ghostbusters annuals, I tend to think about the two The Real Ghostbusters annuals (Ghostbusters Firehouse) and don’t usually think of newer Ghostbusters specials. While I’m a guardian of The Real Ghostbusters comics, (Ghostbusters Firehouse) I’m not always as connected to IDW Ghostbusters comics. Or most comics for that matter. Erik Burnham, after being asked posted that a 2015 Ghostbusters annual should go on sale this coming November. After a different follow… Read More

West End Games, Inc. published Tobin’s Spirit Guide (for use with Ghostbusters™ A Frightfully Cheerful Roleplaying Game) during Ghostbusters’ infancy. During the internet age ghostheads have been making fan made versions which can encompass more then the films and the original RPG books. What can be included is unnaturally personal preference. Like this one (GB Inc. Blog Post, January 26, 2015) from Italian ghosthead Joe Nonostante. His version of Tobin’s clocks in at 496… Read More

On June 18, 2014 (GB Inc. Blog Post) I wrote about IDW would discontinue publishing monthly Ghostbusters comics. While ghostheads wouldn’t have another years worth of Ghostbusters comics their would be mini-series. That’s cool, definitely better then no new Ghostbusters comics. Not even a month later IDW Publishing announced (GB Inc. Blog Post, July 15, 2014) the first series, a Ghostbusters and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cross over. When our childhoods collide. So… Read More
