In June 2000 I bought a Proton Pack replica. Styled somewhat after their look from Ghostbusters II. Eighteen years later I wrote The History Of A Rich Proton Pack Replica. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, February 13, 2018) Today, (bummer) 18 years later my Proton Pack replica is for sale. If you have the “tools and the talent” this Proton Pack replica could even be better than it originally was in June 2000. Sometime after… Read More

I’ve been wanting to write about and show off my Proton Pack replica I bought in June 2000 for years. A reason I waited so long is because in 2000 photos were taken of Jersey Ghostbusters stuff from both Polaroids and a disposable camera! At various times throughout the eighteen years I thought among the photos were more detailed shots from when the pack was newly purchased. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t ever the… Read More

Funko recently announced wave 2 of their Pop! Tees. Among the likes of some jokerish space civil war t-shirts is the above Ghostbusters Pop! t-shirt. We know Pop! Movies Winston Zeddemore (iRich Blog Post, December 28, 2014) is smaller in scale, that isn’t a reason to exclude him. You may remember Funko originally released (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, July 11, 2015) a Ghostbusters Pop! Tee as a SDCC 2015 exclusive. Which was later sold at retailers and on-line…. Read More

During February’s New York Toy Fair Diamond Select Toys gave ghostheads their first look (GBI Blog Post, February 16, 2016) at Ghostbusters Glass Tumblers. Where I wrote: (Am I suppose to quote myself?) Depending on your age you may remember licensed character glassware. Which may have been part of a food promotion, (for a price) maybe from a gas staton, mail away, or easy as buying in store. Their was a time depending on geographic location… Read More

It’s a big month for Diamond Select Toys Ghostbusters Selects. Series 2, featuring Peter Venkman, Egon Spengler, and Dana Barrett as The Gatekeeper available from better in store and on-line retailers this week. DST also announced Series 3 and Series 4!

Diamond Select Toys posted photos of their upcoming series 2 Ghostbusters Selects. In their packaging!

Funko recently unveiled two new Ghostbusters Dorbz. This time, they’re going bigger.

I saw in my email last week that pre-orders for Diamond Select Toys Ghostbusters Series/Wave 2 went live. Depending on the site and individual figures, some are already sold out. If pre-orders for Series/Wave 2 are anything like Series/Wave 1 pretty good chance those individual figures will be available to pre-order again before May 2016. If you were going to buy a series a a set anyway, pretty good chance they’re available to… Read More

Around this years San Diego Comic Con when Funko/Vinyl Sugar‘s Ghostbusters Vinyl Idolz were out there in the wild I was checking the usual on-line retail sites so I could buy them. Still to my knowledge no ghosthead who isn’t an employee of Funko knows why their isn’t a Vinyl Idolz Winston. I sorta preferred the SDCC exclusive versions. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, July 11, 2015) A reasonable price alluded me within the US…. Read More

Diamond Select Toys who have been showing their Ghostbusters Select figures this year (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, July 11, 2015) were at New York Toy Fair to once again display their Ghostbusters Selects. Which also gave ghostheads a look at the company’s progress. This was the first time (that I’m aware of) we’ve seen a DST Ghostbusters Select Egon. We also get to see a more detailed exhausted Ghostbusters Select Ray Stantz. Which should be… Read More

If you’ve ever read or collected a toy line you know its a foregone conclusion that the company behind that line is going to make a variant of said figures. Matty what’s their name were practically known for doing this with Ghostbusters. In a different way, Funko and their brands have done something similar (though to their credit better) with both their Pops! and Vinyl Idolz. I wasn’t surprised when I unexpectedly… Read More
