On August 6, 2019, posted at Ecto-Containment on August 7, Ghostbusters International was able to recreate (Ecto-Containment Blog Post) part of the original Official International Ghostbusters Club, thanks to Robert Maxwell Barbieri. (Facebook) We figured that would be it unless TECHPAC or “No Ghosts,“ the quarterly newsletter surfaced. On Halloween and into early November (“that’s my fault”) Robert reached out with a couple of new pieces around the Official Ghostbusters Fan Club. An article… Read More

Remember that time over at GBI when they wrote about the official Ghostbusters Fan Club? (GBI Blog Post, June 8, 2014) Five years later they, (well I did) wrote about the official international Ghostbusters fan club again. For a very good reason. It started this summer when the king of the ghostheads, Peter Mosen. (Facebook) had been taking and sharing photos from his career and collecting. One or more of the shared photos… Read More

Ghostheads had already known Chronicle Collectibles are making high end (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, July 29, 2019) The Real Ghostbusters collectibles. During last week’s San Diego Comic Con, Chronicle Collectibles revealed their upcoming to scale Ecto-1. Toys news site, ToyArk took photos as part of their SDCC coverage. Overall this is The Real Ghostbusters series Ecto-1 I remember. As the figures aren’t posable, it stands to reason “the car” won’t have doors that open. Either way this… Read More

Diamond Select Toys produced a couple of series (Diamond Select Toys Blog Post) featuring The Real Ghostbusters figures. Although posable, they don’t quite capture, (from what I’ve seen of them) “the Kenner feel.” A reason I don’t own any of them. On a higher end collector market, Chronicle Collectibles is producing all 4 The Real Ghostbusters figures along with Slimer. The bad: They’re more like statues, total cost, near $600 USD*, and Slimer is… Read More

After writing about Weta Workshop’s upcoming Ghostbusters vinyl figures, (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, July 18, 2019) it was finally the right time to list all 3 of Funko/Vinyl Idolz Ghostbusters figures. Before I made time to add them to the Ecto-Containment Store I first added them to Ecto-Containment’s Facebook Page. That’s how I sold both a Dr. Peter Venkman and Dr. Egon Spengler Vinyl Idolz. Dr. Raymond Stantz Vinyl Idolz stands alone and should… Read More

In 2011 Matty Collector went beyond our childhood nostalgia, recreating (Real) Ghostbusters figures based on the kind of figures kids had in 1970 something. I had all 4 Retro-Action The Real Ghostbusters. I sold Retro-Action Peter, Egon, and Winston in previous years. Retro-Action Ray, “the heart” of the Retro-Action Real Ghostbusters could make a great addition to a collection or for a ghosthead in the 21st Century to play with. “Who You Gonna… Read More

In November 2015 Hollywood Collectibles Group just in time for Black Friday began selling their 1:4 Peter Venkman. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, November 27, 2015) Less than two full years later Hollywood Collectibles Group has 1:4 Ray Stantz ready for pre-order to take up ghostheads display space.

Funko recently announced wave 2 of their Pop! Tees. Among the likes of some jokerish space civil war t-shirts is the above Ghostbusters Pop! t-shirt. We know Pop! Movies Winston Zeddemore (iRich Blog Post, December 28, 2014) is smaller in scale, that isn’t a reason to exclude him. You may remember Funko originally released (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, July 11, 2015) a Ghostbusters Pop! Tee as a SDCC 2015 exclusive. Which was later sold at retailers and on-line…. Read More

During February’s New York Toy Fair Diamond Select Toys gave ghostheads their first look (GBI Blog Post, February 16, 2016) at Ghostbusters Glass Tumblers. Where I wrote: (Am I suppose to quote myself?) Depending on your age you may remember licensed character glassware. Which may have been part of a food promotion, (for a price) maybe from a gas staton, mail away, or easy as buying in store. Their was a time depending on geographic location… Read More
