Pre-orders for Diamond Select Toys Ghostbusters Series 6 are available to pre-order on-line.

From Big Bad Toy Store:

A Diamond Select Release! It’s the 15th-anniversary of the Select action figure format, and DST is continuing one of its most successful Select lines to date! With the 15-figure Rooftop diorama completed, DST is starting a new diorama-building series of Ghostbusters movie action figures, based on 1989’s Ghostbusters 2!

Series 6 will include Ray Stantz in his gray jumpsuit and gear, Louis Tully in his tan jumpsuit and gear, and Vigo the Carpathian. Plus, each figure includes pieces from a new diorama so fans can start to build the sign and doors from the Ghostbusters’ fire house headquarters!

Fire house parts will be inluded with the 15 figures total in Series 6-10, and these diorama pieces are exclusive to the speciality market. Each figure comes packaged in display-ready Select packaging, with side-panel artwork for shelf reference. Sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios!

Series 6 features Ray Stantz, Louis Tully as a Ghostbuster, and Vigo are expected to be available sometime in November 2017.

Ghostbusters Funko Pop Movies 3 Pack

Back in May Funko showed off upcoming Funko products. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, May 20, 2016) Maybe to the surprise of ghostheads, their was to be a new Ghostbusters Pop! Movies collectible! Not just one figure either. Fans wouldn’t have to buy them separately. However, ghostheads would have to buy them from Walmart as this 3 pack would be there exclusive.

My nearest location barely carries Pops! and other nerd collectibles. Seeing how they didn’t seem to carry summer 2016 Ghostbusters toys, I knew I wouldn’t see this 2.5 miles from my house. I went to order from the blue stores site. On the first try they were sold out. One day weeks later when I was being responsible keeping ECU running my friend let me know these were in stock. I was able to avoid the inconvenience of trying to go to another location and buy from secondary/third markets too.

Same friend (who is a Funko Pops! collector) and I placed an order. After I received mine via mail (to further avoid the blue store) and the day he was expecting his, a Walmart he was at (in New Jersey) had 10 of them. :O

Funko Releasing Exclusive Ghostbusters Pops

funko

Yesterday Funko did some Periscoping video thingie. Where they were showing off some of their new and presumably upcoming products. Details are on the lite side. A new Pop! Movies Ghostbusters exclusive is coming to the blue retailer, Walmart.

Jorge Rodiguez tweeted a screencap of the Ghostbusters three pack:

It seemed to only take a couple more years. Funko finally made a Dana, (naturally as The Gatekeeper) Louis Tully, (naturally as The Key Master) and as an expected companion Zuul. Yes, technically Zuul and The Gatekeeper (at least in human form) are the same. Maybe its marketing as focus groups thought Zuul was a stronger sell.

Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you feel about exclusives, for the foreseeable future this Funko Ghostbusters 3 pack is a Walmart exclusive. Hopefully for a set amount of time.

Diamond Select Toys who will be releasing its first series of Ghostbusters Selects (GB Inc Blog Post) later this year is at San Diego Con. On display naturally are the Winston and Ray Ghostbusters Selects. Along with Louis as Keymaster ‘Ghostbuster’ Select.

Originally the third figure was up in the air as figures releases can depend on licensee approval. DST’s own Zach Oats thought the third figure could be Dana as Gatekeeper.

New Ghostbusters Selects for series 2 (and beyond) have been produced and are also being shown to SDCC attendees. Thanks to Toy News International for taking and sharing pictures. Let’s check them out!Read More »

Louis Tully Character Bio

When I originally moved The Real Ghostbusters sub site to Ectocontainment I didn’t add content that wasn’t part of The Real Ghostbusters first season. Going back to 2008 the idea was I’d add characters, ghosts, vehicles, and equipment as I saw them in a The Real Ghostbusters episode. It sounded ok. Realistically by the time I could and will be able to watch 7 seasons again of the series it could be years before anyone saw those characters, ghosts, vehicles, and equipment added to the site. This won’t necessarily be the case any longer.

In 2012 it begins with everyone’s favorite accountant Louis Tully. Louis became part of Slimer & The Real Ghostbusters during the 5 season episode, Something’s Going Around. Which aired about 4 months after Ghostbusters II had first been in theaters.

Post Update: When I made the decision to evolve Ecto-Containment to an overall Ghostbusters web sites, pages such as the staff page were removed.
