Ghostbusters Paranormal Activity Book

ectocrankgbsactbookblog

Ecto Crank who I only knew of from Twitter is a UK ghosthead who sells custom made Ghostbusters themed patches and pins. “Occasional creative,” Ecto Crank created a Ghostbusters Paranormal Activity Book. Similar to The Real Ghostbusters activity books ghostheads could have spent time with in 1988.

…activity book filled with Ghostbusters themed puzzles, colouring sheets, word searches, etc. designed initially for franchises to give away at conventions but could easily be used by teachers for schools and clubs or you can just grab these for your kids as a rainy day activity.

This one of a kind of 10 page Ghostbusters activity book is completely free and continues to grow as Ecto-Crank adds pages. Check ectocrank.com or Ecto Crank’s respective social media accounts for Ghostbusters Paranormal Activity Book updates.

MacOS Users: The download file seems like some alien file extension. It’s a Windows (I guess) file known as a .7z. You’ll need the free The Unarchiver before you can open GPAC.

For Sale: Rich’s Ghostbusters II Proton Pack Replica

richroyprotonpacknfilter

In June 2000 I bought a Proton Pack replica. Styled somewhat after their look from Ghostbusters II. Eighteen years later I wrote The History Of A Rich Proton Pack Replica. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, February 13, 2018) Today, (bummer) 18 years later my Proton Pack replica is for sale.

If you have the “tools and the talent” this Proton Pack replica could even be better than it originally was in June 2000. Sometime after 2006 it stopped working. I thought it could have been from a fuse. For all I know a wire came loose. In an attempt to prepare the pack for an eventual restoration, as much wiring was removed as possible. “That was really stupid.” – Winston

When this pack replica was originally wired toggle switches (with all batteries in place inside) did the following:

Proton Pack Functions

  1. Pack and wand lights would turn on.
  2. The blue Power Cell would “power” up.
  3. Cyclotron/Synchronous Generator would “cycle.”

Neutrona Wand

  1. Heat Sink didn’t light for “total protonic reversal” conversation.
  2. Emitter would light, (barrel didn’t extend) and would vibrate when “firing.”

More information about price and shipping after the read it more.

Site Update: History Of A Rich Proton Pack Replica

richroyprotonpackfillerlabel2

I’ve been wanting to write about and show off my Proton Pack replica I bought in June 2000 for years. A reason I waited so long is because in 2000 photos were taken of Jersey Ghostbusters stuff from both Polaroids and a disposable camera! At various times throughout the eighteen years I thought among the photos were more detailed shots from when the pack was newly purchased. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t ever the case. I also wanted to take highly detailed photos before fruit robot devices. In that era I did once have a Sony Cyber-shot camera. Eventually it stopped working. I still have disposable cameras that are newer.

As I haven’t bought a digital camera in eighteen years or even replaced a Panasonic camcorder from 1991 I finally decided to use a fruit phone 6 camera to take the kinds of photos like I work for a major publishing company.

Writing about my Proton Pack replica could have been a few paragraphs. Or a short story. To write the masterpiece that is The History Of A Rich Proton Pack I needed 500+ words and two separate pages.

Site Update: Matty Collector Stay-Puft

mattycollectorstaypuftselfie

You’re probably aware I have had a Matty Collector Ghostbusters collection (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, January 9, 2018) for a number of years now. The one Matty Collectible I hadn’t posted about exclusively or wrote about previously is their version of the traveler.

That all changed today when I took photos, created a new page under Matty Collector, and wrote about the only 20 inch Stay-Puft!

For Sale: Both 12 and 6 Inch Ghostbusters Figures

I admit I also have ulterior motive for adding 24 figures I own (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, January 9, 2018) to Ecto-Containment. I’m looking to sell them.

I’m asking $60 USD per Twelve Inch Ghostbusters figure. Or $240 USD for all four. Can sell individually or as a set.

I’m asking $75.00 USD for the 12 inch Egon/Ray Ghostbusters II set.

Twelve Inch Ghostbusters figures come in their original white mailers. Figures packaging haven’t been opened. I also admit I once was going to open Egon. Out of all four figures, I’ve only displayed Egon and Ray. Otherwise figures have been in their original white mailer boxes. Each figure includes all accessories, instructions, and advertising from Matty Collector.

Six Inch Ghostbusters figures come in their original white mailers. With the exception of any figure that didn’t have a white mailer box. Figures packaging haven’t been opened. Each figure includes all accessories from Matty Collector.

I’m looking between $30 USD per figure. Prices may be adjusted.

While I’d prefer to ship within the United States, I could ship internationally as long as buyer or buyers pay shipping and any additional fees. Which will be stated before final sale.

I can be reached at spengs @ ecto-containment dot com. Or you can message me at Facebook. Or please leave a comment below.

Thank you in advance for reading and looking! I’d appreciate any re-blogs, shares on Facebook, re-tweets on Twitter, or through any other social media platforms.

Haynes Insight Ghostbusters Ectomobile Manual

haynesectobook

Earlier this year I wrote that Inside Editions would be publishing (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, April 29, 2017) a Haynes (UK) Ghostbusters workshop manual. Written by Troy Benjamin and Marc Sumerak. Illustrations by Ian Moores.

Related: Ectomobile Workshop Manual To Be Published. (GBI Blog Post)

I was born long after the 1959 Cadillac Series 62 Miller-Meteor was built. I wouldn’t have seen a Haynes (US) manual in stores for any 1950s Cadillacs, let alone an Ectomobile.

Nearly 60 years later, Haynes, Insight Editions, Sony/Ghost Corps, and ghostheads had the foresight to add to the Ghostbusters franchise. Covering multiple Cadillacs along with vehicle equipment. While that could be enough Ghostbusters Ectomobile Owner’s Workshop Manual also delves into Ghostbusters gadgetry.

Playmobil US Ghostbusters TV Spots

playmobilgbstvspot

I haven’t had satellite in more than a year. Even if I did I wouldn’t have been watching a network of cartoons. Paul R. from Spook Central (Facebook) was and saw a TV spot for Playmobil (US) Ghostbusters sets.

A bit odd, the US version isn’t on Playmobil (YouTube) channel. Although the UK version is. Paul found the US version at iSpot.

Better Quarters Way Off Campus

It’s been less than two months since I moved. If you followed a little of the progress through Ecto-Containment’s Facebook page you know that I moved out of Jersey, had to wait for movers to deliver things, hook up internet, and I’ve been watching 1990s professional wrestling.

That didn’t mean I wasn’t reading, listening, and sometimes watching “news from the world ‘o Gozer.” I’ve been wanting to get back to Ecto-Containment so I can write about Ghostbusters and add new content.

If you’ve been here since before July it’s noticeable I updated Ecto-Containment with a new and updated layout. Including updated Ecto-Containment logo and new (in a long time) site browser icon.

Ghostbusters Collectibles For Sale

rgbghostcenter
Photo originally from Kenner, I don’t own any display signs.

Before I have to move I’d like to try to sell Ghostbusters collectibles, (with some other 1980s properties) from my collection. I’d prefer at this time if possible not to have to ship items. Particularly large items. That might depend on price, the item, and my personal time in getting ready to move. That’s why I haven’t tried to sell on eBay up to now.

I’ve made a list as a PDF file and uploaded it to Google Drive folder.* I’ll also add the items in this post and when possible update the file Prices sometimes were gauged from what was recently listed on eBay. If their isn’t a price, please make a serious offer. Prices are listed in USD.

*Link removed to fill orders.

Toys, figures, and collectibles were bought from December 2010 throughout 2011. Toys are in box or on card with most, if not all its packaging and any accessories. Some exceptions may apply. Their may be wear in boxes or to cards, particularly from the 1980s. From 2010 to July 2017 toys, figures, and collectibles come from a smoke free home.

What am I selling? Mostly Ghostbusters and He-Man. Classic Collection Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. A couple of items from Back To The Future.
