I have to be honest, the standard that has been around with Vinyl figures peaked for me sometime ago. To the point I had thought their was really only one way to make them. Then Vinyl Sugar, a Funko brand came along with Ghostbusters Vinyl Idolz (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, October 24, 2015) and I probably said something like this is different.
I couldn’t have imagined in 4 years how much the vinyl figure landscape would change. Enter Weta Workshop. A company who “does creative development, publishing, weapons, props, creatures, make-up, miniatures, public art, and merchandise for films” for at least the past 2 decades.
They already have figures from Aliens, Lord Of The Rings, and Men In Black to name a few. Coming in 2020 Weta Workshop is set to bring ghostheads three Ghostbusters figures. After the break, full sized photos!
