Site Update: NECA Ghostbusters

Prior to Ghostbusters 20th Anniversary in 2004 N.E.C.A, released Ghostbusters collectibles for the 21 century. Early products included  (Extreme) Head Knockers. They were better versions of bobble heads.

N.E.C.A also made the first detailed Ghostbusters figures. The kind of figures we would have wanted in 1984. Except for one problem, “likeness rights” or other reasoning prevented them from selling ghostheads at least 4 Ghostbusters figures.

They did the next best thing, villians! Series 1 as they called them included Slimer, Terror Dogs, a 15 inch Stay-Puft, and Gozer!

When I originally had Series 1, I opened them almost like it was Christmas 1987. I still have the loose figures 14 years later. Today I took photos and created a new page for my NECA collection. Which can also be found under the Toys navigation menu.
