A rite of grade school passage. What plastic lunch box were you going to be defined by. What do you have in it for currency? For me above any ’80s cartoon franchise I liked, it was always going to be Ghostbusters. Just a minor problem in 1985 through most of 1986. I didn’t have a plastic Ghostbusters lunch box made by Thermos. Best to my recollection I didn’t know until years after the… Read More

Like a lot of kids in the ’80s I played with Play-Doh. Back in 1980 something Kenner made it. As a toy company who ruled an empire they didn’t just make soft modeling clay. Not one to trust kids to make whatever they wanted willy nilly Kenner produced play sets. Such as the Fun Factory, ice cream shop, barbershop, fast food restaurant, and arguably (you’re already wrong) the best Play-Doh set of a… Read More

This past October I added new photos and Kenner write ups. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, October 31, 2017) I couldn’t include one as I hadn’t found the Kenner Fearsome Flush I collected probably in 2011. It just hadn’t been unpacked. Yesterday along with the Matty Collector Stay-Puft (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, January 16, 2018) and N.E.C.A (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, January 16, 2018) updates I took photos of a Fearsome Flush. Today I created a new… Read More

You’re probably aware I have had a Matty Collector Ghostbusters collection (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, January 9, 2018) for a number of years now. The one Matty Collectible I hadn’t posted about exclusively or wrote about previously is their version of the traveler. That all changed today when I took photos, created a new page under Matty Collector, and wrote about the only 20 inch Stay-Puft! Photo Source: Ecto-Containment

Prior to Ghostbusters 20th Anniversary in 2004 N.E.C.A, released Ghostbusters collectibles for the 21 century. Early products included  (Extreme) Head Knockers. They were better versions of bobble heads. N.E.C.A also made the first detailed Ghostbusters figures. The kind of figures we would have wanted in 1984. Except for one problem, “likeness rights” or other reasoning prevented them from selling ghostheads at least 4 Ghostbusters figures. They did the next best thing, villians! Series… Read More

I admit I also have ulterior motive for adding 24 figures I own (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, January 9, 2018) to Ecto-Containment. I’m looking to sell them. I’m asking $60 USD per Twelve Inch Ghostbusters figure. Or $240 USD for all four. Can sell individually or as a set. I’m asking $75.00 USD for the 12 inch Egon/Ray Ghostbusters II set. Twelve Inch Ghostbusters figures come in their original white mailers. Figures packaging haven’t… Read More

Sticky Note: Ecto-Containment will continue to be at ecto-containment.com throughout 2018. Last week I began the first of two current site updates. Creating 4 new pages to add 12 inch Matty Collector Ghostbusters to Ecto-Containment. I also organized the Matty Collector Prop Toys menu. I had most of the 12 inch figures on the site before having to prepare for winter storm Grayson. Yesterday I took photos of the 6 inch Matty Collector… Read More
